Departmental Activities-Workshop

The members of the Chemistry Department Participated in 5-Day work shop on “OER, Content Development, MOOCs and MOODLE” from 07-06-2019 To 11-06-2019 . We are very happy & proud to share that one of our department member Dr.M.SULOCHANA acted as resource person and delivered Lectures on "Audocity'; and presentation tube" in the workshop.

What is presentation tube?

Presentation tube is a simple &free tool designed to record our power point presentation video from the comfort zone i.e home or office without the need of internet connection while recording.

What is Audacity?

Audacity is the name of popular open source multilingual Audio editor and recorder software that is used to record & edit sounds.

It is free and works on Windows, mac, OSX/ GNU, Linux and other operating systems.

Workshop on OER, MOOCS & MOODLES

On 02-07-2019 The Principal of VSR & NVR College, Tenali announced that Our PG Students i.e M.Sc Chemistry II-Semester Students namely D.Archana & A.Spandana got 1^st & 2^nd Position in Tenali town. On Behalf of the Management of VSR & NVR College, Tenali, our correspondent Sri.Nannapaneni Sudhakar sir appreciated our students on their achievement. And he also blessed our students to achieve more ranks not only in town but also in university level, and also appreciated the hard work of lecturers of PG Chemistry.

The Dept of chemistry conducted a Quiz On 03-08-2019 with the help of Flicker’s tool for First B.Sc students.

The Department of Chemistry organized a guest lecture on 08-08-2019. Sri. C.Venkat Rao Rtd Faculty of VSR & NVR College, delivered a guest lecture on ‘Chemistry in everyday life.’

The Department of chemistry observed 30^th Aug 2019 “Small Industries Day” as an important day, and conducted one day work shop on “Startup- Entrepreneurship” in association with NVR College of Engineering & Technology, Tenali.

Sri. Rajesh Darla, Yuva Co-Chair & Director of DIK Mega mart Pvt. Ltd delivered an invited talk on “Startups”. Sri Vinay Chalasani, Co-Chair of Entrepreneurships Managing Director, V.M. Bakery, Pvt. Ltd delivered an invited talk on “Entrepreneurship” .Sri. M.Naveen Kumar, Confederations Indian Industry, delivered a invited talk.

Department of Chemistry in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance cell of VSR & NVR College, Tenali, organized STUDENT WEEK for WORLD OZONE DAY from 9^th sept to 16^thSeptember 2019. Series of competitions aimed at kindling learning abilities and thought evoking were planned and schedules for the same communicated to students. The registrations for the events were kept open from 1.8.19.Total 200 students got registered for under various activities.

Day 1i.e 09-09-19 Elocution competition was organized as per schedule. Among the presenters two outstanding presentations identified and placed 1st& 2nd .
